blog 4

Blanche was disappointed when she saw Stella’s house. In the beginning, when she carried her suitcase in the outside of Stella’s house, she looked at this place and she thought the walkers indicated to her the wrong place. And while Eunice told her there were Elysian Fields, Blanche still said that they didn’t know what number she looked for. The book {7} also said that as she looks about, her expression is one of shocked disbelief. Secondly, when she chatted with her sister, she also said that she thought her sister would never come back to this “horrible” place. She wanted her sister to explain this place to her and also said “what on earth are you doing in a place like this?” in her mind, she thought about a lot of worse places, but she never thought that her sister’s house would be so run down. Form her mood, and her expression, she couldn’t accept this place and couldn’t understand why Stella lived in such a sad place.
Stanley wasn’t a good man. He had a lot of bad habits. Like, he bowled too much and he played poker too often. I think his wife got pregnant; he should be responsible and take care of his wife instead of playing games. On the top of everything else, he was a drunkard; he had a lot of liquor in his house. He also was an impolite person because he didn’t ask Blanche when he wanted to touch Blanche’s stuff. He had very bad attitude when he talked to Blanche, and he asked lots of private questions of Blanche, like letters. Blanche didn’t want to tell him about the letters, but he still insisted on asking. He didn’t care about how Blanche would be embarrassed. The worst thing Stanley did was to hit his wife. His wife just wanted to persuade him to come home early, but he hit her. She had a baby, but he didn’t care about it. He just used violence to communicate with his wife. He was not responsible at being a husband. As we can see, Stanley’s attitude and his personality determined he was not a good person.
